A mathematician once asked me what my profession was. My response, “I have no idea” followed by “I just like to solve problems,” baffled him, but was correct then and still is today.
Most of my life I have worked at the University of Texas at Dallas, teaching and carrying out research in operations research, mathematics, and computer science. I also have pursued an interest in philosophy. If you would like to look at some of that work, go to the UTD website and my personal website.
Hobbies are working on and flying my small airplane, and painting if there is time left. And solving problems whenever and wherever they pop up.
